The food is pretty good. However, I think the customer service is lousy. When my meals didn't arrive on the Wednesday, on Thursday I called BistroMD. I am on a 3 meals/7 day a week plan with them. I don't have any other food in my house (to stop the temptation) and I rely on them to deliver the food for the next week BEFORE I run out of food from the previous week. When I called customer service the guy "John" couldn't do anything about it, at all. He told me that my food would be delivered that day, but that left me on my own for breakfast and lunch (possibly dinner) and I was HUNGRY (I had foolishly waited until Thursday AM in the hopes the food would arrive in time for to continue the diet - obviously, it didn't). He assured me I'd get a phone call back that day (I didn't). I emailed them the same day and didn't get any response either. Finally, the second day I got an email blaming the late delivery on July 4th and that their records showed my food had been delivered a day later. BistroMD didn't realize that July 4th was a national holiday and mail would not be delivered? Even if they realized late, they couldn't send an email letting their customers know that their food would not be there as promised - so they could make alternative plans? I finally told them to come pickup that week's meals as I had to make alternative arrangements and wasn't go to pay for a day's worth of food that I hadn't received in time to eat. They said they would, but I am still miffed as I feel they didn't understand and/or care about the inconvenience they caused me. Having to arrange for my food when I thought I had already made the necessary provisions is one thing. But, now, I have to go a week foraging on my own and losing momentum that I had gained on the diet. BistroMD needs to take a look at some of the other diet delivery services to pick up some pointers on customer service.

I have lost weight with Bistro MD. The meals are YUMMY!! I have been receiving their food for one year. I am liking the idea that I don't have to grocery shop or think about what I have to eat. I LOVE all of the meals. The employees are Bistro MD are very courteous and willing to guide you in decision making. There are NO gimmicks, NO joining fees, and you can make changes at any time!! :) Exactly like having your own personal chef!

When I researched meal delivery diets last year, I (unfortunately) chose another program. It was decent for 6 months and went south after that. After throwing out half of the meals from the other vendor each week and constantly supplementing the meals, I had had enough. I decided to not worry about the extra cost for BistroMD and go for it! I like the fact the meals are metabolically balanced and personally prepared. It's only my second week and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long!! Great food! And on top of that, althought I haven't weighed in, my clothes are beginning to fit better already! Thanks BistroMD!!!
