Bistro MD Gourmet Diet Reviews

My eating habits were terrible - no breakfast, decent lunch, sugary snacks in the afternoon, no-cook food (e.g., cereal or cheese and crackers) for dinner with sweets after... mostly starches. I was just too tired to come home at 7pm and cook. I reasearched various options and liked the approach of BistroMD not just counting calories, but considering the nutrional composure and affect on metabolism. I also liked the emphasis on protein, since i know I feel much better when I eat a lot of it.

When I did the math on what i was spending on food, then throwing much of it out as a single person, it was a no-brainer.

I'm at the end of Week 1, and I couldn't be more pleased. The food quality is so good that my boyfriend went though the freezer looking for another chicken-mushroom crepe with cinnamon peaches to steal for breakfast. The portions are not unreasonably big, but I do find myself leaving food in some cases, when I feel full before I finish - for the same calories as a Lean Cuisine, which never left me full.

The snacks are really yummy... the chili bites remind me of Andy Capp's Hot Fries which I loved as a kid, and the chocolate crispies are like choco covered rice krispies Mm! The portions of the snacks are huge - at least for me... I have no doubt men would be satisfied on this diet.

I also like that because I said in my profile I like ethnic food, they've swapped out some "American" meals with things like Thai chicken and a Mediterranen couscous... It's awesome that whether you're a meat-and-potatoes type, or a foodie, you can enjoy this food. Even veggies I normally don't care for, like cooked spinach, I added some Tabasco and mixed it up and it was great.

I am eating breakfast every day for the first time since college, and I am not crashing at 4pm, I've significantly cut down my coffee and Red Bull intake, and I'm sleeping much better. I've probably lost a pound or two, but I haven't even started back to the gym (Curves), so I can't wait to see what happens when I do that. Now that I have more energy in the afternoons, it's going to make going to the gym much easier to stick to.

This is it - a diet that doesn't feel like one. Th packaging doesn't scream 'diet', and the smell and look and taste doesn't scream 'diet'... in fact, people really will ask you what brand of food it is, because it looks (and is) so darn good. I'm told Jenny Craig is $300/week plus you buy the veggies and fruits - BistroMD let's you go standard plan - 3 meals + 2 snacks for 5 or 7 days, or just meals, no snacks - as well as customize a plan (lunch and dinner only, etc.), and you don't have to buy a single thing... 3 meals + 2 snacks x 5 days = $150+$25 shipping (FEDEX), it's a great deal.

Hands-down 100% satisfied.

I have been on Bistro MD for roughly 6 weeks now and I am down 16 pounds! I love the program. The food is so delicious and the variety is great. One of my first thoughts when I started my first week was, "Wow! This is REAL food! And it tastes really good!" I guess I had gotten so used to the processed meats and foods in other frozen meals that I was quite shocked. The food is prepared by chefs, then flash frozen and shipped to you each week. The portions are great - sometimes it feels like too much food. Diets can often make people feel deprived or that they're not eating enough. This is simply not the case with Bistro MD. I started off on the five day plan with snacks for my first two weeks, then switched to the seven day plan with snacks. The snacks are important because they provide something between the meals. Again, not making you feel like you're deprived. The snacks are also delicious. Although you can't choose your specific meals, they do a good job of adding new things each week, in addition to some repeats of their best meals. They're also good about catering to your likes and dislikes. Additionally, if there is a meal that I have absolutely loved - I let them know so they can use if for a sub in future menus. Also, if there is a meal I didn't like, I let them know and they never send it again. The convenience of the program is the best part. Having a set menu and knowing what I'm eating each day is great. I don't have to worry, plan or prepare for my meals. Also, it's easy to stick the plan because you just follow the day's menu and that's it. I'm so glad I found Bistro MD.

I love this plan! I'm so excited to eat what I do. It makes dieting a lot easier when you have a variety of food with absolutely no prep work. This isn't the usual sodium packed, tiny portion, little-to-no-meat nonsense in my grocery store freezer. This is healthy, delicious, exciting, LIFE CHANGING food. I actually feel grossed out when I eat the greasy fried food I used to eat. My favorite thing has gotta be the stuffed French toast. Everyone in my office gets so jealous :-P
